Never look down on yourself....πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–πŸ‘

Alabibwas born as a pre-mature baby. His parents were not too well to do at the time of his birth. A lot was spent on him when he was a baby because he had so many complications and his parents weren't ready to lose him. His parents had to go the extent of borrowing money to save his life. Eventually, baby Alabi was okay. He seemed normal and his parents were happy. However, it became a concern to them when Alabi became two years and was unable to talk nor walk. His mother became very worried😟 . When she discussed it with her husband, he told her not to worry and that Alabi's development might just be slow. They then decided to give him a little more time. When Alabi became three, there still wasn't any difference. They took him to the hospital. The doctor disappointed them badly as he told them there was nothing he could do to help little Alabi. His mother cried a lot that night. Alabi was four already and was yet to start primary school. His mother didn't know what to do. Alabi's father had already written his off as a failure and a wasted investment. His father lamented that he ran into debt just to save the life of Alabi and admitted that he made a grievous mistake. To him, it would have been wiser to have let Alabi die when he was a baby. Almost every night, Alabi's mother would cry over and over again because of him. Then when Alabi clocked five, he was already able to talk and his mother was happy. Though he still couldn't walk, his mother made her decision; She was taking Alabi to school. Try as much as he could, Alabi's father didn't succeed in convincing his wife not to.  Alabi then started primary school at the age of five. He had to be carried to and from school, but his mother didn't mind. She believed so much in him. Alabi was a bright child. Regardless of his problem, he was learning fast. When Alabi got to basic one, he was already eight and could no longer be carried. His mother used up all her savimgs to get him a wheel chair when Alabi's father clearly stated thet he wasn't ready to waste any more money on 'that useless child.' His mother didn't give up, she got the wheel chair all by herself.
When Alabi was in basic 6, one day, he got back home crying. His mother asked him countless of times what made him cry
Then admist tears, he told his mum, ' Mummy, my friends at school laughed at me today. They said i'm crippled and a crippled person can never be a success. Is that true mum?' Alabi asked and cried even more. Pain struck him mum's heart. She knew she had to look for the right words to cheer him up.
' Listen my dear, what your friends said about you is not true until you believe it. That you can't walk like them doesn't mean you won't be great if you want to and choose to.' His mother said.
' The best thing to do is to work hard and  prove your friends wrong.' She added.
Alabi was happy again. He decided that he was going to work hard. He entered college and studied eve harder. He passes all his examinations and turned deaf ears to  the people making jest of him and even though he still couldn't walk, he was full of hope. When it was time for h to further his education, his father said he didn't have enough money to send him to the university. Alabi felt the little hope he had shatter. However, as always, his mother was always there to support him.
Delay isn't denial my dear. You are not a failure till you admit and accept you are yourself.' She said. Alabi's dream came alive again. He started searching for any available scholarship online. At first, it was hard as no one nor organisation was ready to invest in a cripple. After a while, he was granted scholarship by an organisation that was moved with his results. They agreed to sponsor him. Alabi gained admission into the university and decided to study medicine. He studied really hard. His aim was to be a great medical doctor. The journey wasn't easy though but determination kept him going. Eventually, he finished from the university with a first class degree in medicine. Jobs were waiting for him. He became the talk of the town. Everyone wanted to know the successful crippled good medical doctor. His father regretted all his actions. If there was something Alabi's father learnt, it was to never look down on anyone. When asked in an interview what kept him going, Alabi replied....
' Like my mother would always say to me; Delay isn't denial and you're not a failure till you yourself admit you are.' Alabi's mother was very proud of her  son. She was very happy that he chose the right path; the path to success.

Moral lesson: When people look down on you now, don't look down on yourself. Keep going and keep pushing. Delay isn't denial...πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Š

A dream....πŸ˜€πŸ’

What is a dream?🀷
A dream is something you wish for, something you desire, something you long for, something you crave for. It's who you want to be and it's who you are. The fufilment of your dream depends entirely on you. Remember, you're the dreamer, the owner of the dream. Dream right, dream what you desire. A dream can die, work on it. The coming to pass of your dream lies right there in your hands. It's up to you, nurture your dream. Aim to be who you dream to be. Don't forget to dream as big as possible. Be a practicable dreamer. Even when failure creeps in, do not give up on your dream. Remember Abraham Lincoln...His greatest dream was to become the president of the great America. And even though he failed countless of times and was being mocked, he kept his dream alive and at the end of the day, the dream was fulfilled. Be a dreamer with a vision, target and goal.

RUMOURS

Rumours are like stories that people talk about that is not usually true. Mind you, rumour is an act of gossipping. Rumour can also be a mix...
