EVEN WHEN YOU'RE NOT SURE YOU'D WIN, STILL SUMMON COURAGE AND TAKE A STEPπŸ˜‡

There was a particular incident that happened while in sec. I can't remember the exact class though, ss1 or ss2 probably.

So, our teacher asked the whole class a question. The question was confusing, so none of us in the could answer the question. The teacher was disappointed, and he kept breaking the question down to make it a little less complicated.

Where i sat, i was thinking hard. Then, an answer came to my mind. I'm the type of person that hates getting an answer wrong, so when I'm not sure about the right answer, I'd just keep quiet.

The answer kept coming and the teacher kept breaking the question down and down. I whispered the answer quietly to myself to see if it sounded right.

I then told one of my friends the answer i had in mind. She was also not sure about it, so we both decide to keep mute and wait for the teacher to say the answer.

However, there was a girl sitting down at my back and she heard what i told my friend. Since the teacher was already threatening to flog us if no one could answer, she decided to try her luck. I mean who wants to get flogged?😹

She raised up her hand and said my answer. Immediately, the face of our teacher lit up with joy. He seemed proud. He kept praising and praise the girl for her intelligence and sound mind ( on top answer wey she steal o🀦)

The more he praised her, the more i got angry. ' She stole my answer... Bloody thief.' I muttered in anger.

' Can you imagine how proud she is over an answer she stole? Can't she tell the teacher that she stole the answer from me?' All these went through my mind getting me even more furious.

The teacher then faced the rest of the class telling us to thank  the girl for bailing us out. ' Are you kidding me? I was the one that bailed them out.' I said in my head with a deep frown.

After the class, i made up my mind not to talk to that girl; i mean that thief. She should have just given credit to the real owner of the answer. She just stood there smiling and feeling proud of herself like she really was the one that thought about the answer.

However, when i got home and thought about the whole incident when i got home, i realized how foolish i was. 'Why blame the girl?' I asked myself. She deserved the credit she got. She took the risk i was scared of taking.

She could have been wrong too and would have been insulted by the teacher for her foolishness. Had it been she was wrong, i wouldn't have felt this way. Infact, i would have laughed at her.

But then, regardless of not being sure about the answer ( i mean she can't be sure. Afterall, she stole itπŸ˜’) she still decided to stand up and say something. She took up courage.

The incident taught me a big lesson. Life is a risk and it takes courage, real courage to rayke that risk. For any result to be gotten, a risk must be taken.

The girl was courageous in taking the risk of saying the answer she wasn't sure about. She could have also decided to keep mute just like me and we'd all get flogged.

But then, even though there was the fear that she could be wrong, she still stood up and took that step. And she got a positive result... didn't she? Even if the answer turned out not to be right, who knows maybe the step she took could save us?🀷

While growing up, there's this quote about courage that i loved a lot. It reads, ' Courage is the mastery of fear, resistance to fear, not the absence of fear.

Simply put, it's not like the fear isn't there, but in the midst of that fear and in the midst of not being sure, still take the risk and make a move.

Even if you fail, that you tried is enough to console you.

It takes courage to win. Even if you fail, your courage is there to push you to keep trying πŸ€—

Never give up. Put on courage and keep on trying. Even if you're not sure about your success, just make a move✨

Remember, it isn't that the fear of failing isn't there, but that we do not allow that fear to take over.πŸ™ƒπŸ’ž

  1. I'm sure it hasn't happened to me alone. Everyone must have experienced something like this. It might not be exactly this way tho.πŸ˜‡

RUMOURS

Rumours are like stories that people talk about that is not usually true. Mind you, rumour is an act of gossipping. Rumour can also be a mix...
